Rachel leads the ICS’s influencing and advocacy efforts to communicate the perspectives of the global shipping industry across the international policy landscape, on a broad range of policy matters, including trade restrictive measures, taxation and sustainability initiatives. She collaborates with various industry, government and intergovernmental stakeholders to shape the global agenda on matters concerning the smooth operation of shipping’s global regulatory framework and promotion of free trade principles.
Rachel has a breadth of policy experience across local and national government, and the third sector, in the UK and Australia, having worked in senior roles for the UK Government on international climate and trade policy, and for the UK’s national membership association for general practitioners. Prior to this, Rachel worked as a management consultant for EY Australia on workforce strategy and human capital issues.
Rachel graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia with a double degree in Commerce and Science.
