Jordi Espin Vallbona
Secretary General of the Spanish Shippers’ Council (SSC)
Jordi Espin is currently the Secretary General of the Spanish Shippers’ Council (SSC). He is also working at the European Shippers’ Council and having an active role at the Global Shippers’ Alliance. He is a member of the European Sustainable Shipping Forum of the European Commission, and also National Counsellor of the Spanish National Transports Council as well as a member of the Spanish Port Service Observatory, both latter entities led by the Spanish Ministry of Transports. He has also been involved in the private sector managing transport flows and security requirements at European and global level for more than 20 years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Industries & Humanities and his responsibilities now are creating policy and awareness to shippers on the changes happening in the industrial freight world as well as fostering cooperation & lobbying amongst industry, public and private logistics stakeholders.
